How do I choose an adviser?

When you meet an adviser for the first time, there are a number of questions you need to ask to determine whether the adviser is the right one for you.

How are they remunerated? Do they receive commissions and charge entry fees to and from Fund Managers or will you be required to pay them directly?

Is your adviser licenced and do they have the necessary qualifications and experience to provide you with the right advice?

Can they meet industry standards for education, professional conduct, ongoing training, compliance and disclosure?

Do they have professional indemnity insurance?

Go to our Financial Adviser Comparison Checklist for an idea of what questions to ask.

Alternatively you can contact us for a no obligation discussion about your goals and objectives and how Reid McGill can help you achieve them.
